SATU TASKINEN (b. 1970) is a Finnish writer living in Vienna, Austria. Her debut novel Täydellinen paisti (The Perfect Roast) was awarded the Helsingin Sanomat Literary Prize. It was also a candidate for the European Book Prize in 2012. It was the first part of a trilogy, the second part of which, Katedraali (The Cathedral), came out in 2014. Both novels have also been translated into German. The third novel, Lapset (Children), came out in 2017 and will be published in German in 2018. She contributes in several cultural magazines.
